The lodge bar is the social center, open seven days a week with reasonably priced drinks and the kind of bartenders who make you feel like you've been coming in for years even if it's your first visit. Events rotate through the calendar with member nights, community fundraisers, and the occasional Friday gathering that stretches well past closing.
For RV travelers, Lodge #1608 operates one of the better-kept overnight parks on this stretch of desert highway. Nine sites offer 30/50-amp electric service with water and sewer connections at $30 per night for full hookups. Dry camping runs $10. The sites are well-maintained and the proximity to the lodge means you're never more than a short walk from a cold drink and good company.
The lodge also supports Elks National Foundation programs, local youth initiatives, and community charitable work that keeps Needles, CA a little better off every year. Membership inquiries are welcome, and visiting Elks from any lodge are always received warmly.
